01
Estimates and valuation
Is my online estimate protected?
Yes. Under the DRTV Valuation Promise, if the darts materially match the brand, model, weight, condition, accessories and photographs submitted, we will honour the Wallet and Cash estimates shown when the trade-in was submitted. The approved label must be used within its validity period and the darts must arrive safely packed and in substantially the same condition.
What can cause my estimate to change?
A final offer may change if the model, weight, condition, quantity or included accessories materially differ from the submission, if undisclosed damage or alterations are found, or if authenticity cannot be confirmed. We will explain the reason and show the revised Wallet and Cash choices before anything is completed.
Why can a trade-in offer be lower than the retail price?
Retail price is not the same as used trade-in value. We consider condition, completeness, demand, realistic resale value and the work required to inspect, clean, photograph, list and support the item after resale. As a retailer, we may also source new products below the public retail price. The service gives you a fast, secure sale without listing fees, buyer messages, payment disputes or waiting for a buyer.
Do temporary sale prices reduce my catalogue guide?
Verified catalogue records use the genuine regular retail reference rather than a temporary sale price. If the importer cannot confidently identify the regular price, that product is held for manual review instead of silently using an uncertain sale price.
02
Condition and what is included
How should I choose the condition?
Choose the closest honest match and upload clear photographs of the barrels, points, grip and any wear. Mint / Unused covers unopened unwanted gifts or darts with no visible signs of use; Very Good allows light signs of use; Good means normal used condition; Fair means noticeable wear. We do not buy darts with major damage, severe grip or coating wear, missing barrels or substantially incomplete sets. We confirm the final condition after inspection.
Do the original box, flights, stems or points affect value?
The original box and original fitted points may increase the live estimate when the darts have a valid condition-based value. Flights and stems help our review team confirm completeness but do not automatically increase every estimate.
Can I submit repointed, engraved or modified darts?
Yes, but disclose all changes in the notes and photographs. Repointing, engraving, coating wear, altered grips or repairs may affect resale value and therefore the final offer.
Can I submit more than one set?
Yes. Add all sets to one trade-in basket. Each set receives its own estimate, while the Wallet Credit, Cash, Reward Points and inbound route are shown as one combined submission.
03
Postage, returns and local drop-off
Is postage to DRTV free?
Yes for approved postal submissions. We provide one prepaid tracked label for the complete approved submission. The label normally expires seven days after it is issued, so use it before the displayed date.
What happens if I decline the final offer or DRTV cannot accept the darts?
You can pay the tracked return-postage cost, request an approved local collection, or separately authorise DRTV to dispose of the items free of charge. We never dispose of darts simply because an offer is declined. A separate, explicit disposal confirmation is required.
Who pays return postage?
Return postage is normally paid by the customer when the submitted items materially differ from their description or the customer declines the final offer. If the items match the submission but DRTV decides not to proceed because of an error or decision on our side, we will return them at no cost to the customer.
How does local drop-off work?
Choose Local drop-off by appointment when submitting. After approval, send up to three preferred time windows through your account. Nothing is booked until DRTV confirms one. The exact private address and visit instructions are shown only after confirmation. While visiting, you can explore and try more than 350 sets of darts in our shop.
04
Wallet Credit, Cash and Reward Points
What happens when I accept Wallet Credit?
After inspection, accepting the final Wallet offer adds the accepted Wallet Credit and the displayed Reward Points to your Darts Reviews account automatically. Duplicate transaction protection prevents the same trade-in being credited twice.
How quickly is a cash payment sent?
After accepting the final Cash offer and submitting your secure bank details, we normally send the bank transfer within two working days. Payments are not processed on weekends or bank holidays, and your bank may take a little longer to display the funds.
When are Reward Points added?
Reward Points are added after the final payout is completed. Wallet acceptance adds them with the Wallet Credit. For cash, they are added when DRTV marks the bank transfer as paid.
What are Reward Points worth?
The current conversion is 500 Reward Points for £5.00 of non-withdrawable Wallet Credit. Reward Points are a loyalty benefit, are not sold separately and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
05
Accounts, security and support
Do I need an account before I start?
No. You can begin the trade-in first and create a free Darts Reviews account as part of the process. Your quote and uploaded photographs are preserved while the account is created. Existing members should sign in so the trade-in, emails, Wallet Credit and Reward Points remain linked to the correct account.
Why are my account name and email locked?
The trade-in belongs to the signed-in account. Locking the account identity prevents labels, offers, Wallet Credit and Reward Points being sent to a different person by mistake. Phone and address details remain editable for each submission, and the bank account-holder name can legitimately differ.
How are my bank details protected?
Bank details are submitted through the secure cash-acceptance form, encrypted before storage, never included in ordinary support messages or emails, masked in the admin area and automatically removed after the cash payment is marked as completed.
What should I do if a label, payment or trade-in update looks wrong?
Open My Trade-ins in your Darts Reviews account and use Need help with this trade-in. Your message is attached to the exact reference, shown to the trade-in team and kept with the submission history. Do not place bank details in the normal support message box.
