The Unicorn Aden Kirk “Captain Kirk” darts are part of the 2026 global player range and definitely look the part. You get a long 22g, 90% tungsten parallel barrel with two very distinct grip zones and a clean, modern player setup straight out of the box.
In the hand the barrel feels slim but purposeful, with a noticeably sharp, detailed grip pattern at both the front and rear and a centre-balanced feel along the full 54mm length. Up at the business end, the milled silver point adds a touch of extra purchase in the board before you drop into a very assertive front grip section. There’s a mix of single rings, a slightly wider ring and then four sections of pointed twin-ring grip with lateral cuts running through them – a proper “lock in” zone for anyone who holds near the nose. The mid-barrel smooth area with the Unicorn logo and “Captain Kirk” engraving breaks things up visually before you hit another bank of sharp, multi-ring grip at the rear, this time without the lateral grooves but still very edgy under the fingers.
On the board, Gav never really clicked with the Unicorn Aden Kirk darts. Over five minutes he managed a 121 and a ton, but found the long straight barrel and weight distribution behind his front grip made them hard to control, with not enough help from the front section for his style. Max scored much better – 120s and 140s – and liked how consistent they felt, but even he admitted he wasn’t completely at home and had to think about his grip. His verdict is that these are serious player barrels for mid and rear grippers who like sharp, positive feedback, provided you’re happy with a longer 22g parallel dart and only one weight option.

Aden Kirk Global Unicorn Darts
Aden Kirk’s Captain Kirk darts are a long, centre-balanced 22g parallel barrel with sharp, pointed ring grip at both ends and a more aggressive twin-ring + lateral groove pattern up front. Gav struggled to control them and couldn’t turn the multiple grip zones into consistent scoring, while Max found them grippy, consistent and capable of big visits but not the most comfortable dart he’s ever thrown. With a 3.5/5 grip rating, plenty of bite and a 54mm length, they look ideal for mid and rear grippers who like a straighter player barrel with a bit of an edge.
