Max took a closer look at the Datadart Elite II HD Dartboard, and this one felt like an easy win for players who want a professional-feeling board without a premium price tag. From the start, we liked the presentation and finish. The printing was tidy, with no visible bleeding in the reds or the branding, and the segment colours looked punchy and vibrant — especially the green, which really stood out in person. The Darts Corner listing positions this as the Elite II Professional HD with a seamless playing surface and a High Definition White Digital number ring, suggesting it’s meant to feel crisp and modern in both look and clarity.
Once we got it up on the wall, we stuck to our usual torture route: heavy time in the treble 20s, then 19s, then bull, and finally a bit of double work (with Gav helping to get plenty of darts into the board). The board felt really solid on throw. The thin “blade wire” style setup gave us that extra confidence in the scoring zones, and we even landed a sneaky 180 during the session. When we moved around the board, the overall feel stayed consistent — a touch softer in places, but crucially the darts weren’t falling out, which is exactly what you want from a board in this bracket.
The close-up check backed that up. Around the 20s, we could see a few marks but the board had repaired nicely, and the treble area still felt firm. The 19s showed slightly more hole visibility in the white sections (as most boards do), but again the healing was good and the structure felt tightly compact. The bull showed a few marks in the inner bull, but the 25 healed really well even after we peppered it hard. The doubles also impressed — we barely saw any lasting damage where we targeted D16 and tops, and the board stayed vibrant and clean-looking overall.
For the money, this is where the Elite II HD really shines. Max called out a price point around £39.95 in the review, and the current Darts Corner listing shows £39.99. That’s a strong deal for a board that offers thin wires, good colour clarity, and reliable self-repair performance in our test.
In short, the Datadart Elite II HD Dartboard is a professional-quality, African sisal board with a staple-free thin-wire scoring system and a clean, modern finish, offering strong self-heal performance and excellent value at the £40 mark.
The Review
Elite II Datadart Dartboard
We were really happy with the Datadart Elite II HD. The colours are bold, the printing is clean, and the thin wire system gives a modern, confident playing feel. After a solid session across 20s, 19s, bull and doubles, it repaired exactly as you’d hope, with minimal lasting marks in most areas. For around £40, it feels like a proper value “professional-style” board that’s more than ready for serious home practice.
