The Red Dragon Black Mamba 1 is built around the parallel, centre-weighted setup that Peter Wright has trusted most in recent seasons. The combination of a straight profile and full-length level-4 grip means you get a really predictable release whether you hold front, middle or rear; you don’t have to hunt for a “sweet spot” because the grip character stays very similar all the way along the barrel.
In the hand, the barrel is designed to feel modern and purposeful rather than flashy: a matte black, tour-style look with machined grooves that double as both grip and visual guidance for where to place your fingers. The mix of round, buttress and milled grooves should give enough bite for players who like a confident, locked-in hold, but still let the dart glide cleanly out of the hand when you throw with a smooth action.
Paired with Nitro Tech shafts and Snakebite flights, the out-of-the-box setup is aimed at players who want something very close to a pro-level match setup without having to experiment too much.
