Harrows has gone full “player’s barrel” with the Taipan: a parallel profile with a tapered nose, no gimmicks in the shape, and all the personality in the machining. In hand it feels solid and purposeful – straight enough for tight grouping, but with enough visual and tactile reference points that you always know exactly where your fingers are.
The black and gold titanium nitride coating looks premium, and the green-filled “crown” cuts sit between the ringed sections to break up the grip and stop it feeling too samey down the barrel.
In the box You get the usual Harrows presentation: outer printed box, inner plastic case, and everything pre-matched so you can build a full setup straight away. The Supergrip carbon shafts are a nice inclusion – stiff and durable – and the Taipan 100 micron flights have that bold snake motif to match the barrel.
In short, the Harrows Taipan is a straight, modern 90% tungsten barrel with a proper “all-the-way” grip: a tapered nose for clean entry, crisp ring cuts you can grab anywhere along the barrel, and those crown-style bilateral milled sections adding extra bite and a splash of colour – all wrapped in a black-and-gold Tin finish with carbon Supergrip stems and Taipan snake flights.

The Review
Taipan Harrows Darts
These are a really nice set of Harrows darts with a unique and detailed grip that you can feel across the barrel! These darts look great, and you can tell that a lot of additional milling and attention to detail has gone into them too. I thought that these flew nicely and were well-balanced as well, and I liked that they have a great weight range available. All in all, I think they are a great set of darts with a lovely grip.
